Alliance selects executive director

Heather Kasten has accepted the position as executive director of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. 

Kasten is currently the vice president of membership at the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. 

In December, Robin Parsons, who served as the alliance's business development director for about seven years, resigned.

Kasten, as executive director, will lead a nonprofit organization with 1,300 active members.

She will begin work at the alliance May 12.
