Current Performance: Harry Belafonte in “Harry and Lena,” which runs through March 23.

Hometown: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

If you could be anything other than a performer: A physicist. No, not really. I don’t have the grades for that, but I would like to be in the scientific realm.

What profession would you not like to do? I’d be a horrible lawyer.

What’s your least favorite word? Onomatopoeia.

What’s your least favorite sound? Something breaking.

What song always gets stuck in your head? Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”

If you could describe Harry and Lena in three adjectives, what would they be? Festive, passionate and charming.

Where: Jalea, 1532 Main St.

What: Saffron rice, chorizo, clams, shrimp, salad, mussel, scallop, chicken and olives

What else: Jalea is the newly remarketed, revamped and improved Sangria tapas bar. Since the update, you can now find Peruvian food on the menu.

Best paired with: Sangria

On Display: Gulf Coast Community Foundation, 1931 S. Osprey Ave. and State of the Arts Gallery, 1525 State St.

Size and Medium: Oil. 48 inches by 36 inches.

Inspiration: “I can’t say there’s any (specific) inspiration because I never know what I’m going to paint until I get in my studio and start painting. I love the texture of oil and I never know; it evolves. Sometimes I take away, sometimes I put in, sometimes the whole thing goes away. I never sketch. I just get in my studio and work with colors; colors I hate, colors I like, colors that may or may not work — but that’s the fun part about painting.”
