East County residents kicked off the July 4 weekend with a special seafood buffet and live entertainment at Lake Osprey Plaza June 3. Lucky Pelican owners Jim and Beth Poitrast and Lake Osprey Cabaret owner Jack David joined forces for the first Pelican Palooza, which featured acts such as guitarist Thom Parks and The Glass Onion Band, as well as activities for children. -
Crowds out for Music on Main

Music lovers pulled out their lawn chairs and lined Main Street Lakewood Ranch June 3 for the plaza’s monthly Music on Main event. The band Yesterdayze brought back the sounds of the 1960s for the event, which also raised money for the United Way of Manatee County. -
